Note: With almost all new releases in the last 6 months coming with dual cameras, we have effectively stopped updating this post. You will find the same phones across our different budget posts covered in the same depth.
Looking for the best phone with dual-camera?
While you will have to credit the iPhone 7 Plus for starting the hype around dual cameras, it wasn’t the first to try this trick. Nonetheless, you will find many smartphones in the market now toutin not only dual cameras on the back, but even on the front.
So what advantages does a dual camera phone offer? Well, theoretically, it allows clicking better photos with a greater field of depth. It can also offer brokeh effect similar to DSLRs, faster focusing, capturing more detail, and monochrome photos. All in all, two cameras are better than one, eh? Well, we can’t guarantee that, but still if you’ve made up your mind on getting one, we’ve compiled the list of best phones offering dual camera setup in India for this month.
The pros and cons mentioned against these devices are based on their price segment. We’ve only covered models up to Rs 30,000. Also, they have been arranged in ascending order of price. So here are the best phones with dual camera setup in India.

Here is a competitor to the Note 5 Pro which beats it in most of the departments. Besides the great processor, RAM, and internal storage that it shares with the Note 5 Pro, the Max Pro beats the Note 5 on things like a bigger battery, dedicated microSD slot, and Android 8.1 out of the box with the same weight and dimensions. Isn’t that great?
Nothing at all. Seems like a great phone spec-wise.

Consider it as Note 5 on steroids. Along with 64GB internal memory and 4GB RAM, the phone also offers dual read cameras, a massive 20MP sensor on the front, a new bezel-less design, and a great processor to go along.
The hybrid slot if that bothers you.

Huawei’s latest addition under 20k boasts a 24MP front camera, which seems massive by any standards. It also comes with Android 8.0 out of the box and sufficient storage space. The dual rear camera should also allow great brokehs. We’re not sure how many of you are a fan of the notch though.
Hybrid SIM slot. So you’re stuck if you need more than 64GB space and a second SIM. A lot of phones from Huawei under 20k come with almost similar specs. If you leave out the front camera, this one is clearly overpriced.

Well, keeping up with the competition, the G6 offers dual camera on the back, enough RAM and storage, Android 8.0 out of the box and the solid reliability of a Motorola.
Compared to the Snapdragon 625 on the G5 Plus, we’re not sure what Motorola was thinking putting an inferior Snapdragon 450 on this one. No it’s not bad, but it doesn’t hold a candle against the better phones in this budget. Yes, it’s a successor to Moto G5 and not G5 Plus, but then what exactly is it doing in that price territory?

Call it a shameless clone, but it’s the only phone in the Android stables with the iPhone X styled notch under 20k. Android 8.1, and a impressive (on paper at least) front camera make it an attractive proposition.
We’ve seen that processor on phones as cheap as Rs 10,000. Also, the internal memory is kinda bad.

Nokia 7 Plus is a decent mid ranger and comes with the latest Snapdragon 660 processor. It also comes with an 18:9 display and has dual cameras on the back like most of the phones in this budget. It also comes with Android 8.1 out of the box and a decent 3,800mAh battery than should easily last beyond a day. Lastly, 64 gigs of internal memory should be adequate for your storage needs.
Nothing except the hybrid SIM slot.

Nokia 8 is among the first phones to get updated to Android 8.0. Talking in terms of specs, it has been decently equipped with top of the line processor, dual cameras and a decently large internal memory. Also, the QHD display is a plus.
No complains when it comes to the specs and the asking price. The DxO Mark score for the camera is just 68, which implies that the camera isn’t all that great.

Not to confuse you with the camera specs listed above, we’ve listed the specs as (megapixels), (aperture), (OIS-if present), (sensor size). Generally speaking, bigger the aperture and sensor size, better is the camera. Which means smaller number in the denominator, the bigger the aperture or sensor size is. For example, f/1.9 is a bigger aperture and than f/2.0. Also 1/2.2″ is a bigger sensor than, say, 1/2.6″. A bigger aperture camera performs much better in low light situations and produces sharper images. It also produces a better brokeh. Also, OIS refers to optical image stabilization, which helps in reducing blur.
