Our recommendation on choosing the best gaming laptop under Rs 45,000:

If you need to play some serious games, Rs 45,000 is where laptops that can help you play those start. Rs 45,000 can get you a laptop that can handle your moderate gaming needs, implying, you will be able to play older games comfortably but might struggle with latest ones, unless played at the lowest settings. And the culprit is the GPU instead of RAM or the CPU.

If you can get a laptop with 150MX, get it. Period. It’s the best GPU in laptops under Rs 45,000 and slightly faster than the MX130. Following that is the Vega 8 and the 940MX which can offer a decent gaming experience. Meanwhile, the M520, M440, M530 and the likes offer entry-level gaming performance. These cards should also be able to run games like Dota and Counter-Strike without breaking a sweat.

All of these graphics cards should be adequate for architecture and design students.

On the processor front, 8th generation Core i5 is the best you’ll find in this range. 7th gen Core i5 processors aren’t that far behind, while the 6th gen does seem kind of old for this budget. AMD doesn’t make much sense at this budget unless it’s the Ryzen 2500U which is at par with an i5.

8GB is the bare minimum. 1080p displays are superior to 768p displays. Also, we recommend Windows 10.

That doesn’t mean that these laptops aren’t any good for other needs and these are the most powerful laptops available under Rs 45,000. So they’re as good for college students and working professionals and should handle all your design software along with photo and video editing needs.
