Best Phone with 6GB RAM under Rs 15,000 in India (2019)

best phones with 6GB RAM

Any tech pundit will tell you 4 gigs of RAM is more than apt, but then your heart will want you to pack some more just in case. Manufacturers can’t be stupid for offering phones with even up to 8GB RAM for nothing, right?

Times have rapidly changed and while 6GB RAM on a smartphone would have sounded preposterous two years back, it is slowly becoming the norm for even sub-20k phones. We’ve put together the list of the best phones with 6GB RAM or more available in India under Rs 15,000 below. With such a huge amount of RAM, rest assured multi-tasking on your phone should be a breeze. You will also be able to have multiple apps running in the background without any major impact on the phone’s performance or them resetting and having to start from scratch when you switch back.

We’ve put down all the smartphones with 6GB RAM and above that are available under Rs 15,000 in the list below. Most of the phones above Rs 15,000 come with 6GB RAM anyway. The pros and cons have been mentioned according to the price segment that these phones compete in.

Top mobile phones with 6GB RAM under Rs 15,000 in India (2019)

Xiaomi POCO F1

Best phone under 15000 - Xiaomi POCO F1
6GB RAM, 64GB

6GB RAM, 128GB

What’s good:
Here is a solid OnePlus challenger that costs way less than it. Snapdragon 845 under Rs 20,000 is good enough to obliterate the competition. Think of a flagship feature and this phone has it. From dual cameras to 6GB RAM and a decent battery.

What could have been better:
The name’s a bit silly, no? Also, no NFC or wireless charging.

Redmi Note 8 Pro

Best phone under 20000 - Redmi Note 8 Pro
6GB RAM, 128GB storage

6GB RAM, 64GB storage

What’s good:
After a couple of incremental iterations, the new Note 8 Pro is a significant improvement over its predecessor. The new MediaTek processor blows the Snapdragon 712 out of water in gaming and synthetic benchmarks. And if you thought that the 48MP camera on the Note 7 Pro wasn’t good, Xiaomi has upped the game with a 64MP sensor this time around. We also like the large battery, enough RAM, and ample storage.

What could have been better:

Realme 5 Pro

Best phone under 15000 - Realme 5 Pro
4GB RAM/ 64GB storage

6GB RAM/ 64GB storage

What’s good:
The Realme 5 Pro is a minor update over the Realme 3 Pro (what happened to Realme 4 Pro?), which was already a good phone by all accounts. It comes with a great processor, an ample number of cameras on the back, a dedicated expansion slot, a mammoth battery, Android 9.0 out of the box, and up to 8GB RAM. Everything you could ask for from a phone.

Redmi Note 8

Best phone under 15000 - Redmi Note 8
6GB RAM, 128GB storage

What’s good:
The Note 8 and Note 8 Pro are two very different phones. Luckily, they’re both good for their respective price brackets. We like this one thanks to 6GB RAM, 128 gigs of storage, 4 cameras on the back, and a capable processor.

What could have been better:
No complaints.

4GB RAM

What’s good:
The Honor Play sports a flagship processor and comes with other great goodies like up to 6GB RAM and a large battery.

What could have been better:
Maybe the hybrid slot? Also, have you heard about the recent tussle between Huawei and Google? These are uncertain times for the fate of Android on Huawei.

Xiaomi Mi A2

Best phone under 15000 - mi a2
4GB RAM, 64GB

6GB RAM, 128GB

What’s good:
The Mi A1 didn’t stay long enough in the market to make a lasting impression, but its successor is here to change that. Mi A2 comes with promising cameras and a decent processor. And hey, it got updated to Android 9.0 recently. There’s also a 6GB RAM variant with more internal storage (although for more than 15k). Also, Quick Charge 4.0.

What could have been better:
There’s no expandable memory or 3.5mm jack here.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1
6GB RAM/ 64GB storage

What’s good:
Here is a competitor to the Note 5 Pro which beats it in most of the departments. Besides the great processor, RAM, and internal storage that it shares with the Note 5 Pro, the Max Pro beats the Note 5 on things like a bigger battery, dedicated microSD slot, and Android 8.1 out of the box with the same weight and dimensions. Isn’t that great? Also, the 6GB variant comes with 16MP snappers on both front and back.

What could have been better:
Nothing at all. Seems like a great phone spec-wise.

Huawei Honor 8X

honor 8x
6GB RAM, 64GB

What’s good:
The Kirin 710 is a massive upgrade over the Kirin 659 and is on par with the Snapdragon 660. However, the Mali GPU is weaker compared to the one found on the 660. Although built on 12nm fabrication, it should be less power hungry. It also got updated to Android 9.0 recently. The 6GB RAM variant, of course, adds more RAM and memory.

What could have been better:
10W charging isn’t the fastest.

The battery isn’t that big. Also, hybrid SIM slot.
