Realme 5

Realme 5
3GB RAM, 32GB

4GB RAM, 64GB

4GB RAM, 128GB

What’s good:
A considerable improvement over the Realme 3i. There’s a very capable processor, four rear cameras (maybe the only phone in the segment), enough RAM and up to a staggering 128GB storage, and a large enough battery. To top it, the phone comes with Android 9.0 onboard.

What could have been better:
If only the phone had a full HD display.

Samsung Galaxy M20

Samsung galaxy m20
3GB, 32GB

4GB, 64GB

What’s good:
Well, here’s a first Samsung with a notch. Yes, the last giant has fallen to the notch mania. It’s also Samsung’s answer to the Huaweis and Xiaomis of the world. And hey, it’s got a fairly large battery. Also, those bezels are slim, no?

What could have been better:
Don’t let the nomenclature on that processor fool you. It’s worse off than the Exynos 7885. The performance of this processor would be closer to the Snapdragon 636. That’s not necessarily bad, but closer to what you’d expect in a 13k phone. Just letting you know.

Samsung Galaxy M30

galaxy m30
6GB, 128GB

4GB, 64GB

What’s good:
The M30 is the most expensive in the M series of phones and looks great on the front. It offers a massive 5,000mAh battery along with Android 9.0 and a super AMOLED display. The storage and RAM options are at mar with the competition too. The triple camera setup on the back has an ultra wide along with a depth sensor.

What could have been better:
The processor is only as good as the Snapdragon 632. Don’t expect any serious gaming on that GPU either.

Vivo Z1 Pro

Best phone under 18000 - Vivo Z1 Pro

What’s good:
This one offers a faster processor than the SD710 (although nothing too different or fast), has triple cameras on the back, and allows microSD slots. That’s what makes it better than the Realme X. That, and a very large battery.

What could have been better:
No complaints.

Redmi Note 8 Pro

Best phone under 20000 - Redmi Note 8 Pro
6GB RAM, 128GB storage

8GB RAM, 128GB storage

What’s good:
After a couple of incremental iterations, the new Note 8 Pro is a significant improvement over its predecessor. The new MediaTek processor blows the Snapdragon 712 out of water in gaming and synthetic benchmarks. And if you thought that the 48MP camera on the Note 7 Pro wasn’t good, Xiaomi has upped the game with a 64MP sensor this time around. We also like the large battery, enough RAM, and ample storage.

What could have been better:
Hybrid SIM slot.
