Best 50 Inch TVs in India (2018) under Rs 50,000 (including Smart TVs)

best 50 inch tv in india under Rs 50000

Which is the best 50 inch TV in India?

50 inch televisions are impressive, they’re a sight to behold. And to help you choose one, we’ve put together a list of the best 50 inch LED TVs in India for this month. Of course, getting such an expensive television requires thorough research and we’ve got it covered for you.

A lot of models now retail for under Rs 30,000, meaning you can get them over a regular 43 incher or a 40 inch television. Even some 4K televisions (which always have smart features) retail around 30k. Whether it is streaming content online on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar or others, or plugging your Xbox/PlayStation to the screen for some quality gaming, these televisions are made for such tasks.

Honestly, it’s a bit difficult to judge these TVs from the specs alone, since they’re not too different from each other. We would suggest you pick a brand that you’re comfortable with and offers value for money. Check out the reviews on Amazon and Flipkart for more clarity. Also, more expensive is not always better.

To keep things rather simple, we’ve only covered models up to Rs 50,000 and only covered brands that we’re certain about on quality. The list covers all the best models including Smart TVs and 4K TVs in this budget.

Also, check the list of best 55 inch LED TV in India and the top ten 42-43 inch LED TV in India. The list covers both smart TVs and non-smart ones. So here goes the list of top 50″ LED televisions in India for this month.

Suggestions:
If you usually use a TV for only normal cable viewing, 1080p TVs are more than adequate. Given the lack of 4K content, spending the extra money for a resolution that you won’t even use doesn’t make much sense. However, if you game on your consoles (PS4 Pro or the Xbox One X only), we suggest get a 4K TV. The extra resolution is worth it.

Some of the manufacturers offer identical specifications for the same price. We would ideally pick the cheaper one if the manufacturing year is the same. Usually there’s some advancement in the panel technology every year, so in case they are from different years, we’d prefer the newer one. However, it’s not always the case and the benefits are not that great. We advise going for the newer one if the price gap isn’t too great.

Also, those looking for a 5 year investment should also consider a 4K TV given that they are more future proof. Now, HDR might not matter on a 1080p TV but it sure does matter when you’re getting a 4K TV. No, it’s not got anything to do with the resolution, just that buying a 4K TV without HDR doesn’t make sense. If you’re future proofing, why not do it properly? Most of the 4K content comes features HDR too.

There’s not much of a difference in real life between 16W and 20W audio unless you plan to set the volume to max on your 50″ television all the time.

Also, look for TVs with HDMI ARC or digital audio port if you plan to plug in a home theater system. Otherwise, you’d be stuck with 2.1 support on an aux cable.

Lastly, the refresh rates are more of a market gimmick. The two rates that are usually standard are 50/60Hz and 100/120Hz. Everything above is generally a lie.
